A Journey That Began with Love and Hope
Umut Yolcuları Special Education and Rehabilitation Center began serving children in need of special education and their families on April 17, 2008. The institution was established under MELNUR ÖZEL EĞİTİM SAN. ve TİC. LTD. company, owned by businessman Bayram Gürkan ÇALIŞKAN and Dr. Nuran DİLMEN. Bayram Gürkan ÇALIŞKAN serves as the founding representative.
The center implements Individual Support Education Programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Speech and Language modules, all approved by the Ministry of National Education Board of Education.
Additionally, counseling and education programs are provided for parents in accordance with the individual support education programs recommended for each student.
Our Mission
To provide special education support services with expert personnel for individuals who show developmental differences compared to their peers, helping them achieve social integration, and supporting them to lead independent and productive lives.
Our Vision
Life is a race. And it is difficult; this race whose end we know where, when, and how it will come. Falling, getting up, and starting the race again is our duty. Because this is a reality of life... Another reality is that some run this race harder... What does it mean to not be able to grasp an apple, to not hold a pen and write your name? What does it mean to not see the sea, or to feel the stairs turn into a huge mountain? On top of that, to feel those strange, indescribable looks from those around you, the unbearable pain of being the other... It is hard, truly hard to be disabled. But humans are hope, hope is effort. And the effort given to days grows with the hope of living. We know; all you ask of us is to support you, to hold your hand as much as we can, to open new doors for the future.
